Technical director and general technical manager of the Récréâtrales festival in

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso since 2014, Paulin Ouedraogo is also a freelance lighting and stage manager. He is currently based in France.

He has collaborated with numerous organisations on the African continent: Fédération Cartel, Face-O-Scéno and Espace Culturel Gambidi in Burkina Faso, Théâtre des Réalités in Mali, Mantsina sur Scène in Congo, while participating in numerous productions, festivals and tours.

As a trainer, he also leads workshops such as The Fundamentals of Electricity in Live Performance and Events and A Contextual Approach to Lighting Design on the African continent. At the invitation of Libr'Arts, he led a workshop on lighting design at the French Institute of Côte d'Ivoire in January 2025.

After the light design of Épique!, Paulin is working on a second collaboration on Nadia’s next creation, Ziguehi, to premiere in 2027.
