The Connect & Create Mentoring Scheme
In partnership with Expertise France and the Institut français Paris, Libr’Arts is coordinating a unique mentoring programme running from August 2026 to January 2028.
Over one year, from January to December 2027, this programme will support 15 professionals working in support roles within the performing arts and music sectors, who live and work in sub-Saharan Africa.
Aimed at professionals with 2 to 5 years’ experience in management, production, distribution, administration or artist management, the scheme will pair each participant with an experienced mentor based in Africa or Europe.
The programme comprises:

Individualised support from a mentor,

Quarterly group workshops designed to build skills,

An immersive group trip to a major cultural event on the African continent,

New connections with professionals and networks on the African continent and in Europe,

A grant paid to each participant’s organisation to support their professional development.
The mentoring programme is led by Expertise France and the Institut français and is implemented from Abidjan by Libr’Arts Côte d’Ivoire.
